This is the fourth year of Gaming in the Woods, a casual gaming weekend.
Maple Knoll Lodge in Bowdoin Park, Wappingers Falls, NY
What is it?
Gaming in the Woods is a small, relaxed gaming convention. There will be board games and tabletop games available for people to use and enjoy at any time the Lodge is open. There will also be scheduled Role Playing games and likely some scheduled tabletop games. There will be cabins available for rent if you'd like to run a game or RPGs separate from the Lodge in a quiet space that will allow your game to be run at whatever volume you desire without outside noise or worrying about bothering the table next to you.
What is it NOT?
Gaming in the Woods isn't for games that take up a large amount of space for only a few players, like miniature-based games. We just don't have the space for those sort of games.
This is NOT a convention that will involve any alcohol or drugs on premises. The park does not permit is and neither will we. Anyone found with any sort of alcohol or drugs will be immediately asked to leave and will not be refunded.
This event is not a place where you can harass anyone in any way. If you are offensive or acting inappropriately you will be immediately asked to leave and will not be refunded. Inappropriate or offensive behavior includes (but isn't limited to): sexual harassment, discrimination, bullying, destruction of property, threatening behavior, unwanted physical contact, verbal abuse, or aggression.
How Much Does it Cost?
Weekend Pass - $30
Saturday Only - $20
Friday Only - $10
VIG (Very Important Gamer) Cabin Rental - $250
What does my pass get me?
Weekend Pass: Gets you admission into the Lodge. The first 12 people will also get a reserved space among the 12 bunks available for sleeping within the Lodge. If we exceed the capacity of the Lodge, we are looking into alternatives for additional sleeping arrangements.
Friday Only: Admission for Friday, June 26th between 2pm and 11:00pm.
Saturday Only: Admission for Saturday, June 27th between 9:00am and Midnight.
VIG (Very Important Gamer) Cabin Rental: This gets you a separate cabin right across the driveway from the Lodge. There are 5 Cabins available for rent. Each Cabin sleeps 4 people and has it's own gaming space ! The cost of the rental also includes 4 weekend passes for the convention. The deadline for this option is June 6th. We will ask for a $150 deposit, and collect the rest ($100) when you arrive for the convention.
Who can attend?
The event is open to anyone over the age of 18. Those who wish to attend who are younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children ages 16 and up can have their parent or guardian sign a waiver to allow them to attend without the parent or guardian.
What Do I Need to Bring?
Sheets or a sleeping bag and a pillow. The bunks available have mattresses but no sheets. This is indoor camping. You will also need to supply your own toiletries.
Schedule
There will be scheduled breaks for food at lunch and dinner each day.

What Will I Eat?
We will have simple breakfast foods, snacks and drinks for sale. For lunch and dinner you are welcome to drive out to nearby restaurants and/or we will likely have group orders of pizza, chinese food or other takeout.
Where is it?
There is a separate entrance to Maple Knoll Lodge!
It is along Sheafe road and is north of the main Bowdoin Park entrance.
